Monday In A Moment #16 | On Choices

1 :: Choosing your Destiny – Lately I’ve felt overloaded with life choices. I am a firm believer that there are seasons for this in life. D and I are coming up on the time where we have to decide where we want to go next. Do we head to Turkey or Korea for a short tour {2 years} together? Or do I send him by himself {for 1 year} so we are guaranteed a follow on base? Do we choose to go somewhere further outside my comfort zone like Japan or Alaska? Or do we simply decide it’s time go head back stateside? So many choices with so many outcomes. I’m always amazed at how making big life decisions reminds me I’m an adult like a brick wall to the face. I definitely miss the days when someone older with more wisdom could tell me what to do. It eliminates the fear of making the wrong choice. Luckily there is alot of prayer involved which makes me feel less afraid and more confident that we will go exactly where we are supposed to. To those of you struggling with big decisions right now, know that you aren’t alone!

2 :: Choose your Shoe – We’re coming up on that in-between season time where I can’t decide to post about sandals or the new fall collections already being displayed. So we’ll go halvsies today and you can pick! Choose the end of summer sales or the fresh new fall line. Either way, it’s a win/win! 1) ‘Kevia’ Bootie – Vince Camuto $138.95 2) ‘Verona’ Oxford Pump’ – PIKOLINOS $174.95 3) ‘Dover’ Riding Boot – Cole Haan $448.00 4) ‘Caradonna’ Sandal – Earthies® SALE $113.19 5) ‘Joss’ Flat (Special Purchase) – Miz Mooz SALE $69.90 6) ‘Idan’ Sandal – Vince Camuto SALE $65.66

3 :: Tune Choices – This week’s tunage is inspire by the recent films I’ve watched. I won’t lie that there’s an overall folksy whimsical feel to these songs, which is what comforts me in times of stress. 4 :: Mealtime Decisions – This week I’ve been hankering after recipe’s. Pinterest has been particularly indulgent lately giving me bright colored dishes photographed to perfection. The trend this week seems to lean towards noodles. I think it’s because of the fresh lightness of the ingredients as opposed to a heavy italian pasta dish. Enjoy! {All photographs are courtesy of Pinterest} Click on the image you like to take you to the recipe! 1) Bucatini with Shrimp and Spicy Cherry Tomato Pan Sauce 2) Cold Soba Noodles with Eggplant and Mango 3) Chile Flank Steak with Grilled-Corn Pico de Gallo 4) Beer Brined Scallops over Smokey Corn Puree and Stout Molasses Sauce 5) Blueberry Almond Tart

5 :: Pick a Door, Any Door
– This week is the last week of Kirsten Ashley Photography’s Fine Art Print gallery openings. The gallery to be released this week is called “Fenestrations”. Basically it’s a fancy word for doors. I won’t give away too much, but I have had several inquires as to what to do with Fine Art Prints. Recently I managed to finally put up my favorite fenestration photos in a series in our living room. The frames are from IKEA and I have to say I am super pleased with the results! The possibilities for fine art image collages are endless, so go nuts! Stay tuned for the Fenestrations gallery to be released some time this week!

That’s all for this Monday! Hope this inspired you to start your week refreshed and ready to conquer. Don’t forget to come back next week!
