Monday In A Moment #58 | Why Hello October!

MONDAY

1 :: BIRTHDAY WEEK!!!!This coming Sunday I will turn 29! My my my how time flies… To celebrate D and I will be taking a trip to Prague later in October, which means this weekend will be all about relaxing. AND making Italian Cream Cupcakes!!! Which I will be giving away to everyone I know because D hates coconut and I don’t want to eat every single one all by myself {actually I really do but………}. It’s funny, if you had told me once upon a time 10 years ago {at 19!} that this is where I would be at 29, I would have laughed and called you a liar…. then blinked furiously at you with wide hopeful eyes and asked “Seriously??”. There is so much to be grateful for, and while the loss of my mother is still fresh on days like today, I am reminded that life is truly beautiful and it is up to you to make the most of it!

2 :: Packing Up – At the end of this week we will have around 60 days left in Germany. Um, WHAT?!?! Somehow time has whooshed by….. and I am trying to take it all in stride and NOT PANIC. Due to the packing and appointments that will shortly commence in a frenzy, I will probably be posting less, blogging less, and trying to soak up what remains of our life here in Europe. I will still be photographing everything in sight, it just won’t make it up on the web until after we get to Texas. Who knows, perhaps I will have more time than I expect. I simply don’t want all of you lovely fans out there to feel slighted, gypped, or puzzled at my more absent online presence. Wish me some seriously luck ya’ll, as I know that a huge part of me will forever reside in Germany no matter where we live.

3 :: Soup to warm your Soul – I have been pinning fall flavored soups like crazy on Pinterest! It’s a serendipitous thing, but I figured what better than to share them with you so you can warm your bellies with these savory recipes. I’m huge on food that feeds your soul and there is something about fall flavors that speak to my heart in soft comfortable pear shaped tones. 6 :: Last Photography Session in Germany – I can hardly believe that I had my last photo session here in Germany this past weekend! It was extra special because I have worked with the Barron Family several times for both design work and photography. I was overjoyed with the idea that they wanted to wear traditional lederhosen and dirndls!! How fitting for my last shoot in Deutschland! We had such a blast and I can hardly wait to finish editing their session! Look for their sneak peek on the blog soon!
