1 :: Life Runneth Over – This week is jam packed. Seriously. It’s one of those week’s where I’ve made up my schedule bright and early Monday morning for the rest of the week, and I just cringe. The saddest part is that everything going on this week is SUPER exciting and fun. I just realize that this time next week I’m going to need some serious R&R. That also means today’s MIAM is going to be short and sweet, with the regular array of shoes, recipes, and happenings returning next Monday. So for those of you who have a full cup this week, join me in getting it all done, enjoying life, & living it to it’s fullest.
2 :: The BIG Three-Oh – My husband is celebrating his 3oth birthday this week! THIRTY! Ha. I can hardly believe it. It make me realize that we’re moving into that next bracket of life…. Where things like kids and permanence start to become a reality. So very strange! D has a week full of celebratory dinners in store and we are headed to the black forest this weekend to indulge his adrenaline junkie personality as we’re going ziplining! No joke! I’m seriously psyched! So happy birthday week dear husband, may you still feel the youth I see everyday in your smiling face.
3 :: Blooming Weekend – D and I celebrated part of his birthday by indulging in his three day weekend. We hit a bloom/wine festival in Freinsheim as well as the opening of the Zweibrucken Rosengarten! It was a weekend full of outdoors and sunshine, perfect for my solar powered spouse. We even got to play chess on a giant chessboard and brush up on our frisbee game! So often I get bogged down in work and it was really nice to be able to go and see and do with the most important person in my life knowing work will still be there for me when I get back. Here’s a sneak peek of one of my favorite views this weekend. I have ALWAYS wanted to photograph an image like this and seeing it in person is like being in an ethereal dream.
