1 :: Best Inspiration Speech Video EVER – So I was at church yesterday morning and to go along with football season the sermon theme is “Get in the game”. So often we fall short because we’re scared or afraid. Our attitudes are terrible which leads to negative progress. Frontline opened the service with this video that showcases all the great sports films in one giant peptalk. I was so amped up I felt like I could go out and run a 10k and then proceed to conquer the world. So if you’re feeling beaten down {which is easy to do lately in this gloomy Germany weather we’ve been having} watch this video and I guarantee you’ll feel inspired, fearless, and empowered. “Decide that you want it, more than you’re afraid of it” – Bill Cosby.

4 :: Open your mind – I have been stuck on dystopian novels lately. I’m sure you’re asking yourself “What in the heck is a dystopian novel?” Wikepedia describes it as “The utopia and its offshoot, the dystopia, are genres of literature that explore social and political structures. Utopian fiction is the creation of an ideal society, or utopia, as the setting for a novel. Dystopian fiction is the opposite: creation of an utterly horrible or degraded society, or dystopia.” Why am I obsessed with this genre? My guess is because of the underlying theme of constant hope despite the worst situations imaginable. Plus, I’ve always been fascinated with post-apocalyptic societies since I read “The Giver” by Lois Lowry when I was in third grade. Therefore, because we’re entering “curl up with a book by the fire” season I figured you guys were due for a good reads list update. Click on a book to take you to Amazon!
5 :: Äpfel Selbst Pflücken – Translation: Pick your own apples yourself. Here’s a sneak peak of an apple picking adventure with the Rawleigh Family this past Friday! I am super psyched about the rest of the images from the day!
Thanks for tuning in this week! I hope this helped you beat your “case of the Monday’s” and feel inspired for the week!
