Monday In A Moment #13 | On Joy

MONDAY

1 :: Joyful Cup Overflow – There seems to be an abundance of joy to be shared this past week. Friends coming to me with exciting news, family telling me stories of good things coming there way, and my loving husband booking me spa appointments. There was also an IKEA trip this past week that delighted my fancy SO much as I bought new frames to display my adventure photos in my home! I caught myself smiling that goofy happy smile, dancing around happily in my apartment, and feeling that oh-so-happy feeling in the pit of your stomach too many times this week for no reason at all. Maybe it’s the fact that it hasn’t rained in a WHOLE month! Either way spread some joy this week… and revel in what makes you happy!

2 :: I bring you shoes of great Joy – In the spirit of summer this week is all about Boat Shoes! I have always wanted a pair, so I will use this week to dream. Either way I hope they make you stand up and shake it in blissful happiness! a) Little Talks – Of Monsters And Men b) Some Nights – Fun. c) Don’t You Worry Child (Radio Edit) [feat. John Martin] – Swedish House Mafia d) Price Tag (Album Version) [feat. B.o.B.] – Jessie J e) Mylo Xyloto – Coldplay feat. Rihanna

3 :: The small things in Life bring you Joy – The following three images are snapshots of some things that have brought me immense joy this summer. 1) Ice Cream – OH man. My first love ever was ice cream. The fact that the flavors are more intense and just an all around different kind of ice cream experience here blows my mind. This particular cone is Mango gelato from a shop in Heidelberg. YUM. I am also fascinated at the amount of ice cream people eat here {Europe}. I’m pretty sure I ate my weight in Gelato in Venice. (: 2) Unicycles – Yep. That’s right. This made my heart sing. These three girls are rockin not only a unicycle… but an 8 foot high unicycle! I don’t even know how you get on such a thing. This brings me joy also because it reminds me of my father… who had a unicycle in college and would ride it through campus. tee hee. Jeg elsker deg far! 3) Chandeliers – I have see more beautiful chandelier light fixtures in the past six months than I have ever seen in my life. I want one in my house SO much! This particular beauty is located in Metz, France in a fancy dessert shop. I die of delight!

5 :: The Joy of Tapas – For food this week I am super psyched to bring you Tapas made by yours truly. After arriving home from Spain I was reminded how much I adored Tapas and that it will always remind me of studying abroad in Seville in college. Luckily I have an awesome food photography friend to share these scrumptious treats with! Thanks Jessica for allowing me to invade your house with the smells and colors of España. The dishes are listed in order of the photographs. 1) Olive caper sun-dried tomato garlic aioli stuffed cherry tomatoes 2) Chorizo Spanish Tortilla 3) Chroizo Empanadas 4) Crab Tartletts 5) Hard-boiled eggs with sauteed peppers and a dill shallot vinaigrette 6) Tinto Verano {!!!!!!} 7) Pineapple with Lime Mint Sauce

That’s all for this Monday! Hope this inspired you to start your week refreshed and ready to conquer. Don’t forget to come back next week!
