:: “She believed she could, so she did” – Seriously. This quote is singing from my heart these days. I don’t know if it’s the time of year, or the fact that things are changing rapidly, but I am constantly surrounded by creative inspiration. Like it’s about to burst from my heart. I am closing a great many projects these days as D and I are continually getting ready to pack up or lives here… and there is a great sense of accomplishment at being able to check off everything on your list. I also want to thank those awesome girlfriends out there that have been a source of awesome steady creative conversations… for allowing me to discuss the possibilities of what could be for KAPD and for being a never ending sounding board for my crazy BIG ideas!
:: September’s Happiness – The around the world blog circle I am a part of will be posting “Happiness Through My Eyes” for the month of September this week. I am so excited as this month’s happiness for me was primarily focused on some seriously awesome wedding save-the-dates! Get a glimpse inside the process of what I do in the design half of KAPD, debuting of the 1st of October! There is some beautiful brush calligraphy and lettering headed your way!
:: Booties Booties Booties! – I have been drawn to those cute little ankle rise boots lately like they have an irresistible magnetic pull! If only I had the courage to wear the ones with heel on our treacherous cobblestone… {No thank you, Germany. I don’t want to fall and break my face!} But for those of you who do not have to constantly battle with tripping over your own two feet, check out these beauties! Click on a shoe to take you shopping at Nordstrom.com! 1) Vince Camuto – ‘Elvin’ Bootie – $138.95 2) MICHAEL Michael Kors – ‘Mavis’ Leather Pump – $224.95 3) Timberland – Earthkeepers® ‘Amston’ Wedge Boot – $139.95 4) Vince Camuto – ‘Vala’ Bootie (Nordstrom Exclusive) – $138.95 5) Sam Edelman – ‘Julian’ Suede Bootie – Orig: $149.95 SALE: $119.90 6) kate spade new york – ‘lanise’ leather boot – $350.00
:: Weekly Studio Recap – Sorry for the MIAM hiatus recently! In bringing many projects to a close, there have been some intense deadlines as I go the extra mile for all of my wonderful clients! So here is an update of the daily goings on in the studio for the past several weeks! If you enjoy these images, be sure to follow me on Instagram, so you will never miss a daily post!
:: Beautiful Florals – So recently, my homework for the Christina Greve workshop was centered around florals. I thought I’d share a bit of what’s going on in the studio as I grow my creative process and continue down the journey of discovering my style. After spending some time in France, I was able to pick up some gorgeous hydrangeas to bring home and play! I also managed to pick up some delightful props that will be making their appearance sporadically over the next couple of months. This class has been a constant inspiration to find beauty in the most random places!
