1 :: Happy Labor Day! – This week’s MIAM is short due to the holiday weekend. I hope that you all aroud out traveling and doing amazingly fun things today with family and friends! I am trying to spend more time with my husband and balance out work/family time {the ever challenging battle, right?} and some weeks it proves more difficult to wrestle than others. So I’m putting down the blogging, even for-going this month’s Happiness Through My Eyes {to return with a vengeance at the end of September!}, and spending more quality time with the people I care about. Only four months left in Germany!

Join cook book author Tessa Arias, as she dives into the science behind the ingredients of a chocolate chip cookie. I’m a total culinary nerd always wondering “why my cookies turned out too flat ?!?!?”… “Does freezing the dough really make a differenc?” … “How do I make them ooey-gooey and still hold their shape?!?!” and lastly “How do you DO IT Otis Spunkmeyer??!” Well this article answers them all {except maybe the Otis Spunkmeyer one!} and really gives you a great understanding of the chemical properties of each ingredient! There’s even a Part II, Part III, and Part IV, where she tests things like bread flour, crisco, and all brown sugar as well as different baking pans, health restriction ingredients and creamation processes! 4 :: Overwhelming Gratitude – The results are in for the #christinagrevephotochallenge on Instagram….. and guess what?!?! I WAS CHOSEN AS ONE OF THE WINNERS!!!! EEEEEEeeeeeee!!!!!! An additional congratulations to @rubirroja & @evaskubla for winning the other two seats to Christinia’s September Lifestyle Photography Workshop! I am still in a state of shock and disbelief… this is such a huge honor for me. Christina G, I cannot thank you enough for allowing me the opportunity to learn from you! It means the world to me to have been chosen among such talented photographers! I am so excited and the workshop fun begins on September 8th!
